Philadelphia, PA – Chris Benoit impressed all fans in attendance over the weekend when he absolutely killed his competition. Benoit faced off vs Elijah Burke to decide who would progress on to the ECW World Championships. With the precision of an expert assassin, Benoit dispatched Elijah with a wide variety of lethal moves.
We will outline one extremely exciting sequence of events when Chris Benoit exhibited why his competition considers him such a stone cold killer.
Near the end of the match, Elijah attempted to push Benoit away to protect himself. Benoit promptly sidestepped and captured Elijah in a punishing death grip. After weakening his opponent for almost a minute, Benoit then unleashed one of his signature moves, the “Clothesline from Hell”.
Elijah was visibly shaken, and was struggling to crawl off the mat to regain his composure. It was reported that in a moment of desperation and delirium, Elijah begged onlookers to call 911 for help. Benoit would not let this happen. He managed to grab the man before he could escape his clutches. He then ensnared him in another one of his signature moves, the “Crippler Crossface”.
There was something different about the move this time, however. The maneuver was applied lower, so Benoit’s arms and hands were applying more force to the neck area, choking and strangling his victim. Benoit was heard to exclaim, “You deserve this, bitch! You forced me into this position.” A few moments later, Elijah appeared to submit and the match was called.
After the match, there was controversy that the ref called too early, and the fans disagreed that the match should go to Benoit. Because of this, it is currently undecided if ECW will let him go to the World Championships, or if there will be a rematch.
“It was all Benoit,” said longtime wrestling fan Steve Jenson. “Often he doesn’t get the media attention though, because he isn’t as flashy, and doesn’t get the crowd going as much as some of the other wrestlers. He was hung out to dry, and only has himself to blame.”
Chris Benoit was unavailable for comment, as he promptly left the arena to catch a flight home. There, he will presumably spend some quality time with his family, partaking in many non-homicidal activities.

A deadly combination.
